TOOLMERIT TERMS OF USE

Use the site.
Understand the boundaries.

These terms describe the rules for accessing and using ToolMerit. They help protect readers, contributors, and the editorial work — while keeping clear that software guidance is information, not a promise of a particular result.

VERSION 1.0LAST UPDATED August 16, 2026APPLIES TO Site, content & utilities
USE OF SITEREADABLE

Good use means:

  • read and decide for yourself
  • respect the work and others
  • do not misuse the service
  • ask when something is unclear
Information is useful.
It is not a guarantee.

Clear terms help
everyone know the edge.

01

Editorial content is for general information. It is designed to help readers research a decision, not replace their own due diligence or professional advice.

02

Use the site fairly and lawfully. Do not interfere with the service, misuse forms, copy protected work at scale, or use the site to harm others.

03

Third-party products remain third-party products. Providers control their own software, prices, terms, security, and support — not ToolMerit.

01 · AGREEMENT & SCOPE

What these terms govern.

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of ToolMerit, including its website, editorial content, free utilities, forms, newsletters where offered, and related features (collectively, the “Site”). By accessing or using the Site, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Site.

“ToolMerit,” “we,” “us,” and “our” mean the independent operator of this editorial website. Legal, copyright, and terms notices can be sent through the contextual contact route on this page.

02 · EDITORIAL CONTENT & NO ADVICE

Guidance is not a guarantee.

ToolMerit publishes independent editorial information about software, workflows, marketing, and related topics. Content may include reviews, comparisons, alternative guides, pricing notes, calculators, templates, and links to third-party providers. It is provided for general informational and educational purposes.

YOU SHOULD

Make your own decision.

Assess products against your needs, budget, technical environment, privacy and security requirements, contracts, legal obligations, and risk tolerance. Confirm current provider information before buying or relying on it.

WE DO NOT PROVIDE

Professional or individualized advice.

ToolMerit does not provide legal, tax, accounting, investment, medical, security, compliance, employment, or other professional advice. Use an appropriately qualified adviser where that advice is needed.

WE DO NOT GUARANTEE

A particular outcome or fit.

We do not guarantee that a product will be available, suitable, compatible, secure, error-free, lawful for your use, or capable of producing a particular revenue, ranking, conversion, or performance result.

Software, plans, product ownership, pricing, availability, features, integrations, and policies can change. ToolMerit makes reasonable editorial efforts to update material information, but readers are responsible for checking the provider’s current terms and documentation.

03 · ACCEPTABLE USE

Use the Site without harming it or others.

You may access and use the Site for lawful, personal, editorial, research, or internal business purposes consistent with these Terms. You must not:

  • use the Site in a way that violates applicable law, infringes another person’s rights, or is fraudulent, deceptive, abusive, defamatory, or harmful;
  • interfere with, disrupt, overload, probe, bypass, or attempt to compromise the Site, its security, forms, accounts, servers, or networks;
  • use automated systems, bots, scrapers, crawlers, scripts, or similar means to access, copy, index, collect, or extract Site content at a scale or rate that burdens the service, bypasses controls, or exceeds ordinary search-engine indexing;
  • submit spam, malware, misleading product claims, false identity information, confidential material you are not authorized to share, or information designed to manipulate editorial coverage;
  • impersonate ToolMerit, an author, a contributor, a provider, or another person; or
  • remove copyright, trademark, attribution, disclosure, or other proprietary notices from Site content.
!

Contact forms are for legitimate editorial communication. Submitting a tool or asking for coverage does not create a right to publication, a positive review, a link, a ranking, or a response.

04 · INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

Respect the work and the context around it.

Unless otherwise stated, the Site’s original text, design, graphics, branding, code, selection, arrangement, and other content are owned by or licensed to ToolMerit and protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. Provider names, logos, screenshots, and product marks may belong to their respective owners and are used only as permitted or for identification, commentary, comparison, or other lawful purposes.

PERSONAL SHARING

You may link to a public ToolMerit page and share a short, properly attributed excerpt for commentary or discussion, provided your use is lawful and does not misrepresent the source or relationship.

PERMISSION FIRST

Do not reproduce, republish, sell, license, frame, mirror, mass-download, or create a substitute archive of substantial Site content without our prior written permission, unless a legal exception clearly applies.

FAIR USE IS CONTEXTUAL

There is no fixed “safe” word count or percentage. Whether an unlicensed use is lawful depends on the facts, including purpose, nature, amount, and market effect.

If you believe Site content infringes your intellectual-property rights, use the legal and copyright notice route with the work identified, the URL, your contact details, and enough information for the operator to assess the report. Do not send sensitive or confidential material through the public form.

05 · SUBMISSIONS & FEEDBACK

Send only material you are allowed to share.

If you send ToolMerit a tool submission, correction, feedback, question, idea, product information, or other material, you represent that you have the right to share it and that it does not violate another person’s rights, confidentiality obligations, or applicable law. Do not send passwords, account access, unpublished customer data, security vulnerabilities, or confidential information through ordinary Site forms.

EDITORIAL DISCRETION

We may review, use, decline, edit, verify, publish, not publish, remove, or respond to submissions in our discretion. We are not required to treat an unsolicited submission as confidential or compensate you for it unless we separately agree in writing.

YOUR LICENSE FOR SUBMISSIONS

To the extent needed to review and respond to your submission, you grant ToolMerit a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, store, and communicate the submitted material. We will handle personal information according to the Privacy Policy.

06 · THIRD-PARTY LINKS & PRODUCTS

External links take you to someone else’s service.

ToolMerit may link to providers, documentation, articles, offers, affiliate programs, product pages, social platforms, and other external resources. These links are provided for context, sources, or reader convenience. A link does not mean ToolMerit controls, endorses, or guarantees the third party, its content, availability, security, terms, pricing, or conduct.

WHEN YOU LEAVE TOOLMERIT

Read the third party’s current terms, privacy notice, pricing, return/cancellation rules, security information, and support terms. Any purchase or agreement is between you and that provider.

COMMERCIAL LINKS

Some links may be affiliate links and may earn ToolMerit a commission if a qualifying purchase occurs. Read the Affiliate Disclosure for more detail.

07 · AVAILABILITY & DISCLAIMERS

The Site is provided as available.

We aim to maintain a useful, secure, and accessible Site, but we do not promise uninterrupted operation, error-free content, immediate correction, compatibility with every browser or device, or that all content will remain available. We may change, suspend, restrict, or discontinue any feature, page, link, tool, or part of the Site at any time.

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the Site and its content are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of accuracy, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, availability, security, or results. Nothing in these Terms excludes a warranty that cannot lawfully be excluded.

08 · LIABILITY & INDEMNITY

Limits permitted by applicable law.

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, ToolMerit and its operator, authors, contributors, and service providers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data, goodwill, business opportunity, or other intangible losses arising from or related to your use of, inability to use, or reliance on the Site or any third-party product.

Where liability cannot lawfully be excluded, it is limited to the minimum extent permitted by law. These limitations may not apply in your jurisdiction. You agree to indemnify and hold harmless ToolMerit and its operator from claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses arising out of your breach of these Terms, unlawful use of the Site, or violation of another person’s rights, to the extent permitted by law.

09 · APPLICABLE LAW, CHANGES & CONTACT

Applicable law continues to protect mandatory rights.

These Terms operate subject to the laws and mandatory rights that apply to you and the Site. Nothing in them selects a forum or removes a consumer or statutory protection that cannot lawfully be waived. If a dispute arises, please use the legal contact route first so the issue can be reviewed.

We may update these Terms when the Site, our practices, or applicable requirements change. The current page record is version 1.0, last updated August 16, 2026. We will revise that record and, where appropriate, provide additional notice of material changes. Continued use after updated Terms take effect means you accept them to the extent permitted by law.
